The Municipal Treasurer’s Office is responsible in collecting all kinds of taxes, provides services according to the needs of clients. It is considered as bread and butter of the Municipality.

MISSION

To maintain an effective revenue generation program, take custody and exercise proper management of Local Government Funds, to ensure an effective and efficient disposition of government monies and to deliver quality treasury service.

VISION

As the finance machinery of the Local Government, we envision to be responsive to the financial requirements of various local government unit programs, projects, taxes equitably collect and properly channeled to sustain an economically progressive Laua-an.

BUSINESS PERMIT AND LICENSING SERVICES/PROCESS

ABOUT THE SERVICE: APPLYING/RENEWING A BUSINESS PERMIT

ALL ENTERPRISES are required to secure a Business License and Mayor’s Permit, and pay Business taxes before the start of commercial operations.

The license must be renewed from January 1 to 20 every year. Penalties are imposed after this period. Business taxes for new enterprises are based on capitalization, while those renewing their permits in succeeding years, are computed as a percentage of gross receipts/sales and payments can be made annually.

To process new applications, it takes a maximum of Three (3) days to process. This includes the requisite inspections and clearances from various offices and government agencies.

RENEWAL of Licenses may take a maximum of One (1) day depending on the results of verification made by a Business Permit and Licensing Officer. Verification determines whether an applicant has secured clearances from various offices (barangay, building, zoning, fire, sanitary and medical).

  • Department of Trade and Industries Business Name Registration (for Sole Proprietorships)
  • Securities and Exchange Commission Certificate and Articles of Incorporation (if Incorporated)
  • Cooperative Development Authority Registration (for Cooperatives)

  • Sworn Statement of Gross Receipt
  • Environmental Compliance Certificate
  • Certificate of Compliance from DOE (Gasoline Stations)

HOW TO AVAIL OF THE SERVICE/BUSINESS PERMITTING PROCESS:

LTOO II/BPLO
BPLO retains the prerogative to inspect the establishments or businesses before or after issuing the business permit. Any discrepancies with the applicant’s information on our form will be corrected whereby additional fees may be assessed if needed. Failure to comply could mean additional penalties and possible forfeiture of the Business Permit.

APPLICATION OF NEW/RENEWAL OF TRICYCLE FOR HIRE FRANCHISE AND THE DRIVING OR OPERATION

ABOUT THE SERVICE

PER MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 01 series of 2009, Article I, Section 1, it is declared unlawful for Tricycles for Hire to Operate within the geographical jurisdiction of Laua-an, Antique if said vehicles are unregistered, unlicensed or without approved franchise.

The Tricycle for Hire Franchise shall be valid for a period of One (1) year. Failure to renew shall cause a penalty of Two Percent (2%) per month and Twenty Five Percent (25%) surcharge.
