MISSION
The MEO of Laua-an, Antique aims to adapt measures efficiently and effectively to provide courteously the maximum standard of service to the consuming public.
FUNCTION STATEMENT
- Initiate, review and recommend changes in policies and objectives, policies and programs, techniques, procedures and practices in infrastructure development and public works in general of Local Government concerned;
- Administer, coordinate, supervise and control the construction, maintenance, improvement and repair of roads and other engineering and public works project of the Local Government concerned and;
- Provide engineering services to the LGU concerned, including investigation and survey, engineering design, feasibility studies, and project management.

Requirements:
Any person desiring to obtain permits shall file an application on the prescribed forms together with the accomplished application form, the following shall be submitted to the Office of the Local Building Official:
- Certified true copy of TCT/Tax Declaration of lot
- Current Real Property Tax Receipt of lot. In case the applicant is not the registered owner of the lot:
- Copy of duly notarized contract of lease or;
- Copy of duly notarized deed of absolute sale or;
- Copy of duly notarized contract of sale or;
- Copy of duly notarized waiver of rights
- Five (5) sets of Bill of Materials, plans, and specifications prepared, signed and sealed:
- By a duly licensed architect or civil engineer in case of architectural and structure plans
- By a duly licensed sanitary engineer or master plumber, in case of plumbing or sanitary installation plans
- By a duly licensed professional electrical engineer in case of electrical plans
- By a duly licensed mechanical engineer in case of mechanical plans
- Five (5) sets of design analysis prepared, signed and sealed by a duly licensed Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer for more than one (1) storey building
- Road Right of Way Clearance from DPWH if along national road
- Zoning clearance from Zoning Officer (MPDO)
- MDRRM Clearance/ Certification
- DOLE Clearance/Certification
- Fire Safety evaluation certificate
FEES: is based on the Article R of the revised Municipal Revenue Code of 2008.

ISSUANCE OF OCCUPANCY PERMIT/CERTIFICATE
Requirements:
- Duly notarized certificate of completion together with the construction logbook signed by the owner and signed and sealed by the owner’s duly licensed Architect or Civil Engineer who undertook the full time inspection and supervision of the construction works
- As built-plans and specifications jointly signed and sealed by the design professionals and the licensed Architect and Civil Engineer who undertook the full time inspection and supervision of the construction works
- Building Inspection Sheet signed by Constructor and signed and sealed by the Owner’s duly licensed Architect or Civil Engineer who undertook the full time inspection and supervision of the construction works
- Fire Safety Inspection Certificate
